Miss Liberty and Miss Pickens County pageant looking for area contestants

LIBERTY — The official Miss South Carolina Local Preliminary pageant crowning Miss Liberty and Miss Liberty Teen, as well as Miss Pickens County and Pickens County Teen, will be held Saturday, Nov. 8, with interviews on Nov. 7 for the contestants.

The pageant will be held on the evening of Nov. 8 and will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a “roaring 20s” theme.

The focus this year is to bring the pageant back to the area and look for hometown girls.

The preliminary pageant is being held at the newly renovated Rosewood Center, at 418 E. Main St. in Liberty.

Tickets and seating will be limited. Organizers are currently seeking contestants in the age range of 13-24 to compete in all aspects of pageantry, including interview, talent, physical fitness and evening gown.
