Richard Dale Nelson, Jr.
Pickens — Richard Dale Nelson, Jr. was born without heartbeat on March 22, 2012 at Palmetto Baptist, Easley.
“Dale Jr.” is the cherished son of Dale Nelson and Hannah Abel.
He is greeted in Heaven by his Grandmother Betty Sue Shirley and mourned on Earth by his Grandmother Donna Hayes of Pickens; Grandfathers, Thomas Abel of Pickens and Richard A. Nelson, of Six Mile; Great Grandparents, Randall and Virginia Phillips of Easley; Heyward and Joyce Hayes of Pickens; and Earlene Abel of Simpsonville; Aunts, Jennifer Ramey of Pickens and Dawn Nelson of Piedmont; Cousins, John-Thomas Ramey of Easley; Austin and Alyza Nelson of Piedmont; and God Parents, Tina Hayes and Donnie O’Donald of Greenville; and many more family and friends.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Mother and Father will be at their residence.
Hannah and Dale would like to thank Dr. Fox of Mountain View OB/GYN and all Hospital Staff in the birthing wing for their concern, compassion and support.

Gary J. Kelly
Central — Gary James Kelly, 57, of 730 Lay Bridge Road and husband of Lynn Chapman Kelly, died Sunday, April 1, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, he was a son of Dalton J. Kelly of Central and the late Frances Chapman Kelly. Gary was a graduate of Liberty High School and was a long time paint contractor. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his son James Kelly and daughter Treasa Kelly both of the home; a brother Jerry Kelly of Central; sisters Krystal Burgess of Knoxville, Tenn., Penny Fine of Charlotte, N.C. and Terry Hendrix of Hendersonville, N.C.
Visitation will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Wednesday prior to a memorial service at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.
A Celebration of his life service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the family to help defray the medical and funeral expenses.

Norma Skinner,
Pickens — Norma Alma Willis Skinner, 100, formerly of Liberty, died Sunday at Manna Health and Rehab in Pickens.
Born in Taylors, she was the widow of the late John Earle Skinner, Sr. and a daughter of the late Charles Irwin and Lula Jordan Willis. She was a homemaker and was a member of Liberty First Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Dan Skinner of Sumter, Glenn Skinner of Anderson and John Earle Skinner, Jr. of Lake Jackson, Texas; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by three sisters, Lillian Willis, Ruth Barton and Thalia Johns; and one brother, Larry Willis.
Funeral services for Mrs. Skinner were held 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel conducted by the Rev. Joe Hayes. Burial was at Westview Cemetery.

Jessie Ellenburg Tripp
Easley — Jessie Lee Stansell Ellenburg Tripp, 96, of Easley, died Wednesday, March, 28, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, Mrs. Tripp was a daughter of the late Fred Hamilton Stansell, Sr. and the late Melinda Lewis Stansell. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Joe D. Ellenburg and his wife, Barbara, of Easley.
Mrs. Tripp was predeceased by two husbands, Clyde D. Ellenburg and Grady E. Tripp; a son, Wayne Carlisle Ellenburg; six brothers; and one sister.
Graveside funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Nettie Mae Rollins
Norris — Nettie Mae Barrett Rollins, 81, of 945 Norris Hwy. died Saturday at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Cateechee, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ollie Medlock Barrett. She retired from Alice Manufacturing and was a member of Cateechee Independent Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Marion G. Rollins, Jr. and his wife Vickie of Norris; a sister, Lucille Evatt of Norris; a brother, George Barrett of Liberty; two grandchildren, Priscilla Southerland and her husband Jason and Lesley Rollins; and two great grandchildren, A.J. Kelley and Cody Southerland.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased a great granddaughter, Tabatha Kelley; three sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Rollins were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial was at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pearl “Doll” Roach
Easley — Pearl Louise “Doll” Kelley Roach, 85, wife of the late Johnnie W. Roach, Sr. formerly of Saluda Dam Road, Easley, died Saturday, March 31, 2012.
Mrs. Roach was born in Dewey Rose, Ga. a daughter of the late Henry Dillard and Mayo Westmoreland Kelley. She was retired as an executive housekeeper and was a faithful and loyal member of Crosswell First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Evonne Smith and husband Monta of Easley, sons, Auther Neil Roach and wife Annette and Johnnie William Roach, Jr. and wife Deborah all of Easley, also sisters, Dot Brown and Carolyn Fleeman both of Bowman, Ga., six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Roach was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Graveside services were conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 3 in the Veteran’s Garden of Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

Tim Newton
Pickens — Timothy Wayne Newton, 35, husband of 13 years to Lynsey Parker Newton, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Tim was born in Pickens County, son of Wayne and Johnnie Cassell Newton of Sunset. He was employed with Duke Power Security (D-24) at Oconee Nuclear Station and he was a member of Blue Ridge View Baptist Church. Tim was an avid hunter and outdoorsman especially during turkey season. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to all.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents is his daughter, Cheyenne Newton of the home, sisters, April Negrete (Jose) , and Libby Pimlott (Jamie) of Pickens, and Rebecca Newton of Sunset, and a brother Matthew Newton (Lauren Harper) of Greenville. Surviving also is his grandmother Bobbie Cassell of Sunset.
A funeral service was 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 3 at Blue Ridge View Baptist Church.
Entombment was 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

Billy Ray Turner
Easley — Billy Ray Turner, 69, of 201 Sherwood Road died Sunday at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Greenville, he was the husband of Bertha Alexander Turner and a son of the late James William and Ruth Jones Turner. He was retired from Michelin and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Allison Watson and her husband Ricky of Liberty; a son, Stacy Ray Turner of the home; a brother, Pat Turner of Troy; and grandchildren, Nathan, Sarah and Seth Watson.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Turner; and two brothers, Gerald and Ronnie Turner.
Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Turner will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Burial will be at Graceland West Cemetery.

Bill Bradley
Greenville — William Paul “Bill” Bradley, of 33A Hellams Street, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Pickens, he was a son of the late William Theodore and Essie Mae Kelley Bradley. He was a retired roofer and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a son Tim Bradley of North Carolina; four sisters, Dorothy Corne of Albemarle, N.C., Evelyn Reece of Spartanburg, Ruth Ann Phillips of Pickens and Carolyn Sheppard of Easley; three brothers, Bob Bradley of Thomasville, N.C., Johnny Bradley of Dacusville and Jimmy Bradley of Trinity, N.C.
In Addition to his parents he was predeceased by an infant son, William Dale Bradley; a sister, Louise Smith; and two brothers, David and Douglas Bradley.
Graveside services for Mr. Bradley were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Porter’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Pickens.

Ray Reilly

Sunset — Raymond Joseph “Ray” Reilly, 75, husband of Shelby Duncan Reilly of Sunset died on Sunday, April 1, 2012.
Ray was born in West Brookfield, Mass. a son of the late Edward and Catherine Florence Lafreniere Reilly. He was retired from the United States Marine Corps following 20 years service. He served three tours in Viet Nam and was a Bronze Star and Purple Heart Recipient. Ray was a member of American Legion Post # 11 in Pickens and he was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby of the home, sons, Michael Reilly of Fayetteville, N.C. and Ray Reilly, Jr. of Utah, daughters Debbie Schuler (Tom) of St. Charles, Mo. and Donna Duplack (Curtis) of San Diego, Calif. Step-sons include Harry Stockton (Celia) of Dacula, Ga. and Dale Stockton (Monica) of Sunset and step-daughter Sherri Beeks (Joey) of Wellford, 17 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Brothers include Edward Reilly and Charles Reilly both of Ware, Mass. and sisters Shirley Sayblack of Ware, Mass. and Diane Beague of Long Island, N.Y.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Friday, April 6 at Dillard Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel at 3 p.m. Entombment with full military honors will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the American Legion Post #11, 185 Hagood Street, Pickens, SC 29671.

Genethel Harrison
Easley — Genethel Macie Thomas Harrison, 78, of 103 McCollum Street, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Oconee County, a daughter of the late Burns Allen and Annie Pearl Rogers Thomas, Mrs. Harrison retired from Gerber Corp. and was a member of Easley Church of God.
Surviving are her husband, Alvin S. Harrison of the home; two sons, Butch Harrison (and fiancee, Karen) and Michael Harrison (and fiancee, Naomi), all of Easley; two daughters, Lisa Adams (Bobby) and Pam Smith (Greg), all of Easley; a sister, Laverne T. McCall of Goldsboro, N.C.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harrison was predeceased by two sisters, Shelby Jean Weaver and Avanell Thomas.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday at Easley Church of God with the Rev. Dr. David Sustar officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Geneva Estelle “Ginny” Duncan Addis
Hermitage, Tenn. — Geneva Estelle “Ginny” Duncan Addis, 86, of Hermitage, Tenn. died Monday, April 2, 2012 at her home.
Ginny was a member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church. She retired from JC Penney Company. Ginny was a devoted wife and mother, she deeply loved and valued both immediate and extended family. She was greatly loved in return by many friends, was kind hearted to all and had a cheerful and loving spirit. We are grateful for her life and that she is now at peace with her husband, father, mother, sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her sister Net Duncan Watson, and sons Robert Adger Addis and his wife Debbie; Steven Duncan Addis, grandchildren Ashley Addis, Jacob Addis and Jared Addis.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Elenor Evans and Benjamin H. Duncan, her husband Charles Winfred Addis of Walhalla, brothers Virgil Duncan, Homer Duncan, Albert Duncan, Jerone Duncan and sisters Pearle Duncan Fenley, Ollie Duncan, Flossie Duncan Britton, Edna Duncan Brezeale, Inola Duncan Merck, Nancy Duncan Porter.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home on Thursday, April 5 at 10 a.m.
