Louise Yeargin
Norris — Mable Louise Smith Yeargin, 76, of 211 Dianne Drive, died Tuesday at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Six Mile, she was the widow of the late Jessie Willis Yeargin, Jr. and a daughter of the late Clifford and Ethel Towe Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Benny Yeargin of Anderson; two brothers, David Smith of Liberty and Roger Smith of Six Mile; and three grandchildren, Kristin, B.J. and Cliff Yeargin.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by three sisters, Dorothy Whitlock, Jean Porter and Sue Mann.
Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Yeargin were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial was at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

Billy “Bill” Heyward
Keasler, Sr.
Pickens — Billy “Bill” Heyward Keasler, Sr., died on May 28, 2012.
Bill was born on March 3, 1933, at the home of his parents George W. Keesler and Inez Winchester Keasler of Sunset. He was a believer, follower, and proclaimer of God’s Word and a servant of his Lord through Shady Grove Baptist Church. “I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course; I have kept the faith.” (Holy Bible, 2 Timothy 4:7) Bill’s career had been in forestry and the timber industry, beginning in his father’s business in his early years, continuing as a lumber inspector at Poinsett, and retiring from Crescent Resources (Duke Energy). In his retirement, he was known as a self-employed tree farmer in Pickens County. He was also a skilled woodworker for many years.
Bill and his wife, Judith McKinney Keasler, greatly enjoyed their 46 years together. Their family includes children Billy, Jr. and Maydell Keasler and Mary and Danny Johnston and grandsons Anthony Keasler, Isaac Johnston, and Peter Johnston. The wife of his youth was Ruth Evette Keasler (deceased), mother of Billy, Jr. Siblings and spouses are Betty and Theron Crenshaw, Thaylia Oberstar, Bailey and Louise Keasler, Shelby and Phil Williams, Morris and Betty Jo Keasler, Tommy and Angie Keasler, Carolyn and Joe Lesley, and Bernice Keasler (widow of brother Dennis). Also surviving are the family of Frank and Martha McKinney Woodruff and a multitude of relatives and friends.
Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens (Section J) on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. followed by a praise memorial service at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Sunset at 3 p.m. Officiating was the Rev. Matthew Danuser and the Rev. Jeremy Merck.

Clarence Revis

Pickens — Julius Clarence Revis, 83, husband of Rosa Mae Lynch Revis, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
Mr. Revis was born in Pickens County, a son of the late Julius Lonzo and Annie Sutherland Revis. He was retired from Great American Tank Wash and was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Revis was a U. S. Army veteran and fought in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Rosa Mae Lynch Revis of the home and a son, J. C. Revis, Jr. of Dacusville. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Terri Revis and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Revis was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Revis.
A memorial service was conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, June 10 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeremy Merck and the Rev. Gerald Martin officiating.

Lois Sheridan Ellis, ED.D
Pickens — Lois Sheridan Ellis, 88, of 162 Golden Eagle Drive and wife of Dr. Malcolm Ellis, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at her home.
Born in Allendale, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Stevens Sheridan. Dr. Ellis was a retired professor emeritus of Nursing Education at Indiana Wesleyan University where she taught for 23 years. She served as a missionary for 17 years in The Sierra Leone Wesleyan Church. She graduated from Michigan State University, Indiana Wesleyan University, University of Michigan and Ball State University. She practiced as a Nurse Anesthetist in Indiana. She also served for many years along with her husband in pastorates in IN, KS and SC. She also served as Womens Missionary President at the Trinity Wesleyan Church in Central where she was a devoted member.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Mrs. Deborah J Perkins (Russell) of Pickens and Dr. David M. Ellis of Champaign, Ill.; four grandchildren, Graham and Taylor Ellis of Champaign, Ill.; Tessa Ellis and Javan Perkins of Pickens; a brother, Dr. Alton Sheridan of Grand Rapids, Mich.; a sister, Sharon Conely of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were 2 p.m., Saturday at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Central. Entombment followed in Memory Gardens, Clemson.

Bob Loomis

Pickens — Robert “Bob” William Loomis, 76, of Pickens, died Saturday, April 7, 2012.
Born in Palo Alto, Calif., he was the son of the late Harry and Joyce Loomis. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Maridell Cunningham Loomis. He was a devoted husband for 35 years. Bob attended UC Davis, graduating in 1957. He entered the U.S. Army, and served honorably for 23 years serving as an Infantry, Military Police, Intelligence and Public Affairs Officer, retiring in 1980 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His highest military decorations and awards include the Bronze Star Medal and Legion of Merit with one Oak Leaf Cluster. He received a graduate certificate in public relations from American University. Following retirement he was employed as a financial advisor and a college level instructor. He returned to school at the University of Colorado and was awarded a Master of Arts in Counseling and Human Services in 1989. He practiced as a Mental Health Counselor and as a clinical hypnotherapist until fully retiring in 2004. Confirmed in 1963, Bob became an enthusiastic and devoted Episcopalian. He was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Easley since 1994. He was an active Eucharistic Minister and Eucharistic Visitor. He also coordinated the St. Michael’s Lay Ministry program, served as a vestry member, Senior Warden and Diocesan trainer for the Eucharistic Visitors. He was very active in Cursillo. Bob was dedicated to sharing God’s message. He shared his love of travel with his wife, family and many friends and captured his worldwide travels through the eye of a camera lens. He touched many people around the world. He was also a member of the African Violet Society.
He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Teri “TB” and Michael Caroglanian of Frederick, Md.; his very special grandsons Jeremy and Andrew Caroglanian also of Frederick, Md.; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Helen Loomis and their children Ellery and Ashley of Pasadena, Md.; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Robin Loomis and their children Timothy, Kari and Jeffrey of Sugar Hill, Ga.
He was predeceased by his sister, Grace Robertson. He was a friend to all that knew him.
A memorial service will be held June 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Easley. Interment will be 3 p.m. Thursday, August 30 at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC with full military honors.

Blanche Burgess
Easley — Blanche Wood Burgess, 75, of Easley, died peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Manna Health & Rehab in Pickens.
Born in Sunset she was the widow of Ivory Burgess. She was raised in the Shady Grove Community a daughter of the late James T. and Ressie Ellenburg Wood. She retired from Bosch but had previously worked 33 years at Sangamo. Mrs. Burgess was a longtime member of Arial Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, and later worked in the nursery.
Surviving are two daughters, Darlene Anderson and her husband Steve, and Wanda Stamey all of Pickens; a son, Jerry Burgess and his wife, Sheila of Liberty; a sister, Earlene Meece of Pickens; three brothers, Charles Wood of Chesnee, Morris Wood of Six Mile, and Mark Wood of Pickens; five grandchildren, Gretchen Reeves, Joshua Burgess, April Anderson, Jennifer Hannah, Caleb Burgess; five great grandchildren, Kendyl Anderson, Savannah Burgess, Jay Reeves, Jeremy Burgess, and Ben Reeves.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Ivory Denise Burgess, two grandchildren, Amanda and Adri-Anne Stamey.
The family would like to extend their appreciation & gratitude to the Staff of Manna Health & Rehab, and a special thanks to her C.N.A. Sherie, and also the staff of Ark Hospice, especially Heather, Christine, Jean, Jessica and Chaplain Mike for all of their kind and considerate care of Mrs. Burgess.
Funeral services for Mrs. Burgess were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Arial Baptist Church. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Teresa Crane
Pickens — Teresa Southerland Crane, 57, wife of Thomas E. Crane of Pickens died Thursday, June 7, 2012 at The Medical University of SC Hospital in Charleston.
Teresa was born in Greenville County, daughter of the late Thomas and Emily Faye Martin Southerland. She was formerly employed at Buck’s Restaurant in Easley and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Marietta.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Tom Crane of the home, daughters Angie Smith of Pickens and Jennifer Crane of Spartanburg, Tony Southerland of Charleston and grandchildren Stephanie Smith and Timothy Hughes.
Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Monday, June 11 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with the Rev. John Parker officiating. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

India Rathburn
Easley — India Smith Rathburn, 85, of 200 Joan Drive, died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Clarence T. and Mary Wade Smith, Mrs. Rathburn was a 1943 graduate of Easley High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church where she belonged to the Disciples of Christ Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, James Vernon Rathburn of the home; two sons, Reggie W. Rathburn and wife, Pepper, of Florence, and Dean Rathburn and wife, Allyson, of Leland, N.C.; a daughter, Joanie R. Scruggs and husband, Terry, of Easley; a brother, James W. Smith of Greenville; four sisters, Nell Myers of Greenville, Bennie Massingale of Anderson, Joan Benjamin and Blanche Christopher, both of Easley; and eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rathburn was predeceased by a brother, Clarence C. Smith and a sister, Martha Duncan.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Dr. David Gallamore and the Rev. Marion Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.

William T. “Dub” Edens

Pickens — William Thomas “Dub” Edens, 84, of 189 Houston Mountain Road, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at The Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca.
Born in Liberty, he was the widower of the late Clara Jane Henry Edens and the son of the late Herbert and Addie L. Merck Edens. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Laffey and was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Houston (Robert) of Pickens and Kristie Nix (Daniel) of Easley; three grandchildren, Kylie Voiselle (Lee), Eden Nix and Devin Nix; and a great grandson, Lyric Voiselle.
Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Edens were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial was at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

Phillip Landreth
Easley — Phillip Elliot Landreth, 59, husband of Jeritha Page Landreth of Easley, died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Phillip was born in Greenville County, a son of the late Trabert and Hazel Teague Landreth. He was retired from Michelin Tire Co. and was a member of Pelzer Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Jeritha, of the home, daughter Heather Landreth of the home, grandchildren Trevor and Holly Gilstrap and Edward and Leon Tocher. Also surviving is a brother Jerry Landreth of Greenville, and sisters Thea McClellan of Chesnee and Kayla Blackston of Hartwell, Ga.
In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his son Edward Landreth.

Charles McDonald

Liberty — Charles Wesley McDonald, 76, of 878 Terrapin Crossing Road, died Monday, June 11, 2012 at Anderson Area Medical Center.
Born in Hodges he was a son of the late Henry Otto, Sr. and Sarah Mitchell McDonald. Charlie retired from Bilo and was a member of West Anderson Church of God. He proudly served his country during the Korean War as a United States Marine, and was the Sergeant-At-Arms for the James Howe-Luke Cisson, Marine Corp League Detachment 1145.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Duckworth McDonald of the home; a daughter, Lisa Norris and her husband Kip of Cleveland; a step son, Greg Stansell and his wife, June of Pickens; two sisters, Dot Wrenn of Greenwood and Jo Jones of Taylors; five brothers, Otto McDonald of Ninety Six, Bob McDonald of Charlotte, Thomas McDonald of Fort Mill, Hiram McDonald of Toccoa, Ga., and Wayne McDonald of Bluffton; two grandchildren, Kyle Hunsucker and Kelli Stansell.
Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. McDonald will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Marine Corp League. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at the mortuary.

Nancy Marie Simmons Seal
Easley — Mrs. Nancy Marie Simmons Seal, 65, of 452 Anderson Highway, wife of Lowell Seal, died Sunday, June 10, 2012.
Born June 16, 1946 in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of Dorothy Payne Simmons and the late J. Benjamin Simmons. She was a retired Aircraft Insurance Broker and a pilot.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughters, Christine Laura Green, Justine Marie Borchetta; a son, Kevin Lowell Seal; sisters, Dr. Mary Sue Simmons, Jo Ann Abell and Kathie Lehtonen; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her step-daughter, Debrah Lynn Seal.
Memorial services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 14 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
