Dear Editor,
My name is Sabrina Bryson, and I am a senior at Liberty High School. I am also a member of the Pickens County Youth Board. I am writing to bring awareness to Take Down Tobacco Day on April 1, where students join together to stand up to Big Tobacco! We are tired of being targeted and used by the tobacco industry to line their pockets with more money while addicting us to their deadly products. We ask Sen. Thomas Alexander, our state senator representing Pickens and Oconee counties, to increase the state’s tobacco prevention funding by $5 million.
