Blue Flame ousted by South Aiken
AIKEN — The Pickens Blue Flame volleyball team knew they were in for a battle when they travelled nearly three hours to take on the South Aiken Thoroughbreds on Thursday night.
The T-Breds gave Pickens all it wanted early on taking a 2-0 lead and were close to taking the 3-0 sweep before the Blue Flame battled back from a 24-22 deficit in the do-or-die third set to take a 25-24 lead.
However, Pickens was unable to complete the comeback ultimately falling 31-29
