Report: ‘Child care crisis’ proves costly

STATE — A new report finds that South Carolina is not immune from what’s being called an “infant-toddler child care crisis” and that the issue could cost the state more than a $1 billion each year.

Staying healthy, staying home

I’ve been lax lately in terms of my health. I admit it. While I haven’t been at music concerts among thousands of people or riding packed subway cars, I have been going to stores during the daytime when the aisles are full. This was especially true during the holiday shopping season. It’s time to stop that — again — and start staying home, again.

CENTRAL — After losing a talented group of seniors last season, led by North/South all-star Destiny Hoover, the Daniel High School girls’ basketball team has had an up-and-down start to the 2023 season.
