Lions top Crescent for fourth consecutive unbeaten regular season

IVA — With a chance to finish the regular season unbeaten for a fourth straight year, the Daniel High School football team traveled to Crescent on Friday night and cruised from start to finish in a 42-0 win.

“It’s just a special thing to be a part of,” Daniel head coach Jeff Fruster said. “I’ve been a part of this program as a player and a coach. To be able to do this with the staff that I have and guys that truly care about the game, it’s very special.”

Pickens’ season comes to an end with loss to Greenwood

PICKENS — Friday night was senior night for all of the Pickens High School athletes as the Blue Flame football team was aiming for its second conference win.

With Greenwood in town, Pickens was trying to capitalize on the momentum from the previous week’s big win over Berea, but it was not to be as the Eagles came out with a 40-13 win.
