Alzheimer’s group meets in Easley

EASLEY — The Easley Alzheimer’s and Dementia Caregivers Support Group has changed its meeting day and time for the next few months.

The group will now meet on the second Tuesday of each month from 6 to 7 p.m. in the upstairs conference room at the Captain Kimberly Hampton Memorial Library in Easley.

The next meeting will be Tuesday, Aug. 12.

If you or someone you know could use support with this difficult task, this is a welcoming group that supports one another.

Banjo pickers set to come Hagood Mill

The Banjo Extravaganza Festival will return to the Hagood Mill Historic Site on Friday, July 18, and Saturday, July 19, offering a weekend of toe-tapping tunes, Appalachian heritage and traditional artistry.

The festival begins Friday at 6:30 p.m. with “Early Banjo History with Clifton Hicks.” Hicks, a well-known performer and historian, will lead a musical journey
