PCSO: Teens caught vandalizing school

DACUSVILLE — Two teenagers face vandalism-related charges after being caught inside the old Dacusville Elementary School last Friday, Pickens County Sheriff’s deputies said Monday.
According to a release from sheriff C. David Stone’s office, deputies and a Liberty Fire Department volunteer responded to an alarm at the school last Friday, gaining entry through an open door. Upon entry, the volunteer found two suspects inside the building, on its top floor with fire extinguishers which they had sprayed over the hall floors and in classrooms.
One suspect had in his possession an item taken from the building.
Dustin James Clayton, 17, of Easley, was charged with malicious damage to real property/vandalism to property and simple larceny by uniform traffic tickets. A 14-year-old was charged with malicious damage to real property and was released to his parents.
