COUNTY — A woman faces murder charges after police allege she stabbed her husband in front of her children.

Samantha Marie Pardew-Lingwai, 28, is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

According to a report from the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to 212 Pickens Drive regarding a call about a domestic dispute late last Wednesday night.

A deputy was on scene within eight minutes, the report said.

The victim, Matthew Mickelboro, 33, of Pickens Drive, was found at 208 Pickens Drive, unconscious but still alive, the report said.

The victim had a visible wound to the chest that appeared to be a puncture wound, the report said.

He was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said Mickelboro died from a stab wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

After the stabbing, Mickelboro attempted to call his mother and then leave the house on foot when he collapsed in a neighbor’s yard, the report said.

Sheriff’s detectives investigated throughout the night and determined that Pardew-Lingwai stabbed Mickelboro inside their home at 212 Pickens Drive, the report claims.

A knife believed to be the murder weapon was recovered at the scene, the report said.

Further investigation revealed that the stabbing occurred in front of the couple’s three children, ages 4,7 and 8, according to police.

The Department of Social Services is handling the supervision and safety of the children, the report said.

Pardew-Lingwai is being held at the Pickens County Detention Center without bond.
