Police: Student assaulted EHS administrators, resource officer

EASLEY — Police arrested an Easley High School student on multiple charges last week after they allege he assaulted a resource officer and two other school employees following an investigation into stolen money.

According to Maj. Tim Tollison of the Easley Police Department, two administrators searched a 15-year-old student’s bookbag after an accusation of stolen money on Friday.

The school resource officer had enough evidence to make an arrest after the search, Tollison said, but the student pushed the officer and two teachers.

Four Easley officers were called in as backup, and the student was arrested and charged, Tollison said.

The student, who will not be identified because he is a juvenile, was charged with disturbing school, assaulting an officer, petit larceny and third-degree assault.
