Red Devils drop home opener to Blue Ridge

LIBERTY — Coming off of a win at Carolina to open the season, the Liberty Red Devils failed to keep the momentum as they dropped their first home game of the year in a 20-7 loss to Blue Ridge on Friday night.
With all of the excitement of Liberty’s first home game of the year, the game was not spared by the scattered storms of the evening that plagued most of the Upstate. Kickoff was delayed just more than an hour. The game finally got underway at about 8:45 p.m.
