Six Mile woman dies in week’s 2nd motorcycle wreck

SIX MILE — Six Mile was rocked with its second deadly motorcycle accident of the week last Thursday.

Just three days after a collision with a truck killed James William Keith Horn, 18, last Monday, Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said Sylvia Craig, 30, lost her life in an accident around 6:35 p.m.

Kelley said the motorcycle on which Craig was a passenger lost control and struck a vehicle near the intersection of Crowe Creek Road and Shady Grove Road, just four miles from the scene of the week’s previous deadly collision.

Craig was not wearing a helmet, Kelley said, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
