St. Michael’s Episcopal set to hold Oyster Roast Fundraiser on Feb. 14

EASLEY — Oyster season lasts only a few months, and St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will host its annual oyster roast on Saturday, Feb. 14, from 3-6 p.m.

Attendees will be able to enjoy all-you-can-eat oysters, Brunswick stew, and side dishes at the fundraiser, which will benefit the church and its outreach programs, including multiple Pickens County charities.

Oyster-shucking happens outdoors, and all should dress accordingly. Personal oyster knives and gloves are recommended.

Beverages are included, and the cost is $35 for adults, $10 for children 6-12, and children 5 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at the church office Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am-noon, or an order form can be found at www.stmec.org. Ticket quantities are limited, and deadline for purchase is Feb. 6.

St. Michael’s is located at 1200 Powdersville Road in Easley. For more information about the event, ticket sales or the church, call (864) 859-6296, visit www.stmec.org or e-mail office@stmec.org.
