Development approved despite uproar

PICKENS — A proposed housing development near Glassy Mountain in Pickens received approval from the Pickens County Planning Commission on Monday night, but residents have serious concerns.

The Summit at Glassy Mountain is a proposed 247-site neighborhood development set to be built on 183 acres of land near Glassy Mountain.
