Kindling a kudzu interest
During the summer of 2003 (I remember this distinctly because I was so pregnant with Emerson that my theory that no matter how much weight I gained, my shoes would always fit flew right out the window. I was gianormous!), my half-sister, Lindsay, flew from Missoula, Mont., to visit for a week.

Danny Ray Maw, Jr.
Easley — Mr. Danny Ray Maw, Jr., 37, of 512 Slickum Rd., husband of Karen Clark Maw, died Palm Sunday, April 1, 2012.
Born Dec. 10, 1974 in Greenville County, he was a son of Danny Ray Maw, Sr. of Sandy Flats and Julia Bulman Lee of Belton. Ray was an Aircraft Mechanic at Lockheed Martin with over 12 years of service. He was a follower of Jesus who shared The Gospel and had a heart for the less fortunate. His wife and children were the center of his life.
In addition to his parents and his wife of 14 years, Ray is survived by his children, Samuel Karsten Maw and Jordyn McKenzie Maw; brother, Tommy Maw of Simpsonville, sister, Susan Medlin of Simpsonville and paternal grandmother, Beatrice Bowers of Travelers Rest.
He was predeceased by his adoptive mother, Yvonne Watson and grandfather, Raymond Bulman.
Funeral services were conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, April 6 at Life Church in Dacusville with Pastor Chad Albertson and Pastor Terry Rogers officiating. Burial followed in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Karen Maw c/o Peoples Bank, 1053 South Pendleton St., Easley, SC 29642.
