13 new businesses to launch Monday

PICKENS — It is an exciting time for the state of South Carolina, as civic leaders are collaborating with their communities to spark the entrepreneurial spirit of the state.

In order to display the momentum gained as well as plans for future growth, the city of Pickens, via the Pickens Innovation Center and its corporate sponsors, will hold a Commercialization Day “Launch” next Monday, March 7.

During the launch, 13 new businesses, featuring a novel design and patent firm, as well as new technology developed for high-speed police pursuits, will be introduced to the public in a “go live” event as they prepare to enter the market.

Everyone is invited to the event, which will be held from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Pickens Innovation Center, located at 107 Court St. in Pickens.

Community members are asked to stop by for food and fun as they show support for the community and learn how to become involved and strive to have a positive impact, not only in the greater Pickens area, but throughout South Carolina, and eventually, throughout the world.

For questions or more information, contact the Innovation Center at (864) 202-1915 or director@pickensinnovationcenter.com.
