Prisma says vaccine supply ‘extremely low’

County records 24 COVID-19 deaths
COUNTY — Pickens County reported two dozen confirmed COVID-19-related deaths and several more probable virus-related deaths over the past week as the county continues to struggle in the

School board OKs calendar

EASLEY — Although the COVID-19 pandemic could have the final say, the Pickens County School Board voted 5-2 last week to approve the 2021-22 calendar, in which students will start school Aug. 
3 and end May 26.
Board members Phillip Bowers and Karla Kelley opposed the calendar. An amended motion by Bowers to table a vote until this month failed for lack of a second.

District COVID-19 cases down slightly
COUNTY — The School District of Pickens County’s total number of positive COVID-19 cases

ANDERSON — The Easley High School boys’ basketball team seemed to have everything going against it on Friday night.
