Scams against seniors are getting worse

Consider:
— The local courts aren’t going to call you and say you will be arrested for not showing up for jury duty unless you pay a fine. It’s a scam. The bank won’t call and say you need to immediately move

ROBERT THOMAS GIEHLS
EASLEY — Robert Thomas Giehls, 64, of Easley, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Born in Lexington, Ky., Robert spent his early childhood in Kentucky before moving to Tallahassee, Fla., where he grew up and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1979.
From a young age, Robert showed great promise as a golfer and competed throughout Florida as a junior golfer. His love of the game inspired him to attend Lake City
