Letter to the Editor: America is Forgetting its Darkest Day
Twenty-four years ago, I watched my country bleed as an American living in England. On September 11, 2001, terrorists murdered 2,997 innocent Americans in the most devastating attack on our homeland since 1812. I never felt more alone in that foreign country.
Today, I watch America forget.
Walk into any classroom. Ask teenagers about Flight 93’s heroes who charged the cockpit knowing they would die. Watch their blank stares. Ask about the firefighters
