County votes down Central TIF

Dear Editor,

If the town of Central wants to build 1,800 houses on the 1,000 acres it recently annexed, they should pay for it themselves.

You have heard town of Central asked the school board and county council for a TIF. The school board voted to reject the TIF in late April. The TIF proposal was presented to the county council last week, and in a 4-to-2 vote the council rejected Central’s proposal. I voted to reject the TIF and not use county tax revenue to help build that
