RANDY EDWARD WHITE

EASLEY — Mr. Randy Edward White, 62, husband of Donna Renner White for 34 years, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020.

Born in Kingsport, Tenn., a son of the late Ernest J.B. White and Ella Fields Justus, Randy loved to go cruising and traveling every chance he had. He also loved to watch NASCAR and basketball, and was a huge University of Tennessee Volunteers fan. He loved all his animals, and it was obvious that they loved him, too.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, is a son, Jonathan White (Amanda); two sisters, Anita Hensley (Allen) and Karen Darnell (Steve); half-brother, Mark White; stepfather, Curtis Justus; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Randy was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy “Ernie” White and Scotty White.

There will be a celebration of life held in Kingsport, Tenn., at a later date.

WALTER H. MEINDERS

EASLEY — Mr. Walter H. Meinders, 89, husband of the late Juanita Roper Meinders, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 2, 2020.

Mr. Meinders was born in Belmond, Iowa, and was the son of the late Rank Meinders and Lottie Beenken Meinders.

Mr. Meinders was raised up in the Methodist faith and attended West End Baptist Church. He was a 21-year veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a businessman, owning and operating M&K Auto Sales and Salvage. He loved his very large family and was married to his late wife, Juanita, for 55 years. He enjoyed his fishing and his trips to Santee Cooper to catch catfish.

Survivors include children, Debra Owen (Jarius) of Easley, Caroline Turner (Robert) of Easley, Darrell Meinders (Frances) of Easley, Anita Boynton (Rick) of Liberty, Viola Stevenson (Lloyd) of Liberty, Hope Wilson (Ted) of Piedmont, Martha Schell (Steve) of Taylors and Chris Meinders (Vickie) of Liberty. Mr. Meinders is also survived by 35 loving grandchildren, 73 precious and loving great-grandchildren and five most precious great-great-grandchildren. He is survived by a brother, Adolph Meinders, of Clarion, Iowa.

Mr. Meinders was predeceased by his infant son, Walter Samuel Meinders; a brother, Darrell Meinders; and sister, Caroline Kee.

The family would like to express their thankfulness and gratitude to the staff at Brookdale/Easley Place for caring for their father, but most of all for their love and kindness toward Mr. Meinders for the past five years.

The family will be having a private graveside service.

ANNETTE MEECE NEALEY

PICKENS — Annette Meece Nealey, 79, wife of the late Charles Mack Nealey, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

Born on April 30, 1940, in Transylvania County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Charles Arthur Meece and Nathalee Harkins Meece.

Annette was a loving mother and grandmother and an amazing Christian woman. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and social media. Annette is now in heaven with her parents, husband, grandson, Brandon Heaton, and her brother, Charles Meece.

Annette is survived by her three children, Michael Nealey and his wife, Janice, Joseph Nealey and his wife, Pam, and Regina Looney and her husband, Donald; one sister, Jo Ann Phillips; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Kayla, Candace, Adam, Caleb, Emilee and Colby Nealey, Meagan Heaton and Stephanie McCoy (Kelby); and nine great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

JAMES ‘JIM’ CANTRELL

EASLEY — Mr. James E. “Jim” Cantrell, 73, husband of Jane Batson Cantrell for 52 years, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

Born in Pickens, a son of the late John Lorn Cantrell and the late Lanty Lesley Cantrell, Jim retired from BASF after 30 years as a maintenance mechanic and was a member of Dacusville United Methodist Church. He loved to fish and go dancing with his bride. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three grandchildren, Caleb Hiott of Easley, Nathanial Hiott of Easley and Emily Reid of Anderson; a great-granddaughter, Amelia Durham; a sister, Martha Ann Hawkins of Easley; a sister-in-law, Brenda McCall of Piedmont; special nieces, Sherrie Dwyer and Nancy Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy Hiott.

Graveside services were held on May 2 at Dacusville United Methodist Church Cemetery.

MARTHA H. HOLDER

CENTRAL — Martha Holliday Holder, 80, and widow of Lloyd Holder, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

She was born in Gastonia, N.C., on Nov. 24, 1939, a daughter of Blease and Hazel Bryson Holliday.

Martha was a hard worker her entire life. She worked as a custodian in the textile mill for many years. She enjoyed arts and crafts. She loved making jewelry, earrings and necklaces. She made them for everybody, and everyone loved them.

Martha is survived by three sons, Carlis Holder (Carol) of Anderson, Daniel Holder (Cindy) of Central and Dan’l Holder (Kerry) of Six Mile; three daughters, Kay Brice of Liberty, Judy Owens (Jim) of Six Mile and Darlene Owens (Mark) of Central; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Oliver Holliday (Geneiva) of Greenville and Ricky Holliday (Bev) of Cateechee.

In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was predeceased by two brothers, Joe and Randy Holliday; two sisters, Margie Havner and Bethel Moncus; and four grandchildren, Sammy Owens, Lee Owens, Jarett Holder and April Davis.

Funeral services were held on April 30 in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central.

Martha was laid to rest beside her husband at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
