EASLEY — Needing a win badly, the Easley Green Wave scored 28-second half points to beat J.L. Mann 42-24 for a 2019 homecoming win on Friday.

CENTRAL — The first half of the 2019 high school football season has come and gone, and for the Daniel Lions, it has gone about as well as it could go.

The win extended Clemson’s (5-0, 3-0 ACC) national-best 20-game winning streak. The game marked the first time in nine years that the Tigers traveled to Chapel Hill, N.C., and was the first time Clemson had beaten the Tar Heels (2-3, 1-1 ACC) at home since 2002.
