It’s not for sissies

I suffer from moderately severe acrophobia. That means I’m afraid of heights. It doesn’t bother me unless I’m up high, like the second step of a step ladder. That’s about my limit.

Dear Editor,

Amazing, isn’t it, how calling something by a new name can make it acceptable to the masses, no matter how evil it is? Or that the masses say they are against it, yet for the most part

We have people all across the country living paycheck to paycheck who are forced to make choices no family should, like whether they should pay for heat in the winter or purchase necessary medications. Our country has

An exciting day

Monday, Feb. 27, was an exciting day for Pickens County.

For the first time since the State Infrastructure Bank was created in 1997, our county is applying for road funding for two significant projects: (a) to widen S.C. Highway 183 to four lanes from the Greenville County line to S.C. 135 and (b) to continue extension of

Justice for Anna

Dear Editor,

During this time of the year, my wife and I have special thoughts and prayers for our small grandchildren. Carly, 7, was born in late January, and Sawyer, 5, in mid-February.

Our delusional daughter, Anna Simpson, was found guilty of
